FROM THE WEST ie. the A1 go on the A64 until its junction to the A166 Bridlington road. Go on the A166 and 1/2 a mile past the pub called The Duke of York in the village of Gate Helmsley, take the left turn signed to Buttercramb and Malton.Go on this minor road over the two bridges at Buttercramb up the slope and at the top (approx 1/2mile) take the right turn signed Acklam follow the signs to Acklam. On entering the village Trout Pond Barn is the third house on the left.
The house name is on an old milk churn.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------From MALTON ie. the East at the traffic lights in the centre of the town take the road signed to Beverley. Immediatly over the level crossing take the right turn to Stamford Bridge and Pocklington,after approximately 2.2 miles take the left turn to Levening and Burythorpe go into Levening at the crossroads with the pub The Jolly Farmers on the left go straight, to Acklam, once in the village take the second left turn signed Barthorpe, Trout Pond Barn is 300 meters on the right.
