Trout Pond Barn

Trout Pond Barn A warm welcome awaits you at Trout Pond Barn, a converted barn that is over 200 years old and which is situated in a quiet corner of the village of Acklam - a small rural village at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds, but central for visiting the many attractions of the area. We do not however have any public transport to and from the village.  The nearest bus and train stations are in Malton - 6 miles away.  It is also only 13 miles from the York park and ride facility.

Our Bed and Breakfast accommodation which has an English Tourism Four Star award consists of the following:-

Trout Pond Barn The residents lounge is also upstairs, having superb views over the Vale of York and on those cold nights an open log fire is lit if required. (There are no lifts in the property)

Tariff:-  from £29.00 which includes a full English breakfast with eggs from our own chickens; home made marmalade and jams and as many other local products as possible.

The nature of the barn is such that there are steps and narrow door ways and other restrictions that guests with special needs may need to consider, so please do not hesitate to contact us for further details.

To help ensure both the privacy and security of our guests and ourselves we do not display a 'Bed and Breakfast' sign but once within the grounds there is ample off road parking on a gravelled area.

On the day of arrival we would like our guests to book in between 4.00pm and 6.30pm. If however this is not possible we would like you to contact us so that alternative arrangements can be made.

On the day of departure we request that our guests vacate their room by 10.00am.

This a no smoking establishment and we only accept children from 14 yrs. upwards.
